I was proud to take part in World Down Syndrome Day events at the UN in Geneva.

21 March 2018 was World Down Syndrome Day #WDSD18. The United Nations asks countries and organisations around the world to support the day and raise awareness of Down’s Syndrome.

The theme from Down Syndrome International for the day was #WhatIBringToMyCommunity.

On 20 March I joined a workshop to talk about what we bring to the community, how we can work and get involved in politics.

Then the next day, I went to the Palais des Nations, the home of the United Nations Human Rights Office to be on a panel of people with Down Syndrome to speak about the theme to UN Member State government representatives and UN officials. It was a very interesting experience and an honour.
