I’m thrilled to be part of the brilliant cast of The A Word for series 3. There has been great coverage in the press. It has been different experience for all of us doing interviews on video calls but it’s still great to talk about our characters and their story, written by the amazing Peter Bowker.
I had a great time being interviewed by The Big Issue about The A Word and diversity and the importance of positive stories about different people.
There is great story in the Radio Times 2-8 May 2020 magazine. There’s an interview with Leon Harrop and another interview with me. We play Ralph and Katie in the series and are engaged. There is also an interview with writer Peter Bowker, who says “The A Word is better because Leon and Sarah are in it”.
Christopher Eccleston, Pooky Quesnel, Leon and I had video call interviews with Georgia Humphreys from the Press Association. Her story was published in many papers, including The Yorkshire Post, The Bournemouth Echo, and the The Herald Scotland.
I loved working with the cast, especially Leon Harrop, who got well deserved praise from Chris and Pooky. There have also been great reactions on Twitter and I am really looking forward to hearing what people think as our story develops.
Tomorrow evening we will learn what plan this gorgeous pair are cooking up when we return to @BBCOne at 9pm. So delighted to have @sarah_gordy and #LeonHarrop with us on TV and @BBCiPlayer pic.twitter.com/jN3hCDyAHS
