DSA photography awards with Dame Judi Dench

I was thrilled to perform at the awards ceremony for My Perspective 2016, the Down’s Syndrome Association’s photography competition. Dancing in the Orangery at Kew Gardens was wonderful. I loved meeting the young photographers, audience and judges, especially one of my idols, Dame Judi Dench. It was a very special evening.

Congratulations to Emily Buck who won the award for her beautiful picture, “Reflection”. Steven Padmore’s “Raindrops on my Window” and Carlos Biggemann’s “Colours of Fire” shared second place. You can see the list of runners up on the Down’s Syndrome Association website.

David Kenward, who won My Perspective in 2015, presented the awards alongside Dame Judi Dench, patron of the DSA, who had judged the entries with actress and writer Sally Phillips, Formula One World Champion Damon Hill OBE, Eastenders actress Emma Barton and Director of Global Brand and Visual Identity at GlaxosmithKline, Phillipa Proctor.
