Victoria Derbyshire BBC2 Morning show
Really interesting to take part in discussion with other people who have Downs Syndrome on the Victoria Derbyshire show on 7th May. We talked about the challenges of getting paid work. Mencap says 8 out of 10 working age people with a learning disability could work but less than 2 in 10 are employed. I learned a lot and social media really picked up on it.
You can watch the discussion about Living with Down’s Syndrome on the BBC website.
There’s also a write up of the show on the BBC’s “Ouch” blog by Adam Eley.
